CUPS
So far the national cup of Bulgaria has possessed three trophies – the King’s Cup, the Cup of the Soviet Army and the Cup of Bulgaria.

The Cup of the King has been gifted by the King in 1924. Initially it has been given to the champion football club of Bulgaria. In 1938 till 1942 including a separate tournament for it was established.

The Cup of the Soviet Army was presented to the management of the occupational armies of the Red Army in 1946. Till 1989 a tournament was played for that trophy but it was an official one till 1980. The winner of it is the official holder of the Cup of Bulgaria.

The Cup of Bulgaria has been a trophy since 1980 and it was established by the Bulgarian Football Union.

Five tournaments were played for the Cup of the King, 35 for the Cup of the Soviet Army, plus 9 without any value for the National Cup, and for the Cup of Bulgaria – still being played.

Till 1937 different tournaments for the Cup of Bulgaria have never been played. The situation is the same in 1943, 1944 and 1945. The regulations and the number of the participant in the tournament have changed during the years, but they remain the most visited football competitions.

LEVSKI has always participated in all the tournaments of the National Cup. The club has been 24 times the holder of it and 9 times out of these has played at the final but could not win.
